If you use the same computer as your kids or other children, make them a separate windows user account. When you set it up do not make it an administrator. This will prevent them from downloading and installing anything without you looking at it. This is an effective way to keep children from accidentally downloading viruses and a great way to make sure your settings stay the way you want them.
